Choosing points
- Best for modern homes and shops where continuous floors or walls with very few joints are desired.
- It is loved for seamless surfaces, but corners, drains, and substrate movement still need careful detailing.
- Sealers decide stain resistance and gloss.
- Trowel clouds are part of the look.
How it ages
- Can be durable when sealed well, but scratches, pinholes, cracks, and water staining appear if detailing or maintenance is poor.
What to avoid
- Do not treat microcement as something you can simply coat onto shower floors or wet floors. Waterproofing and slip resistance have to be planned together.
